Vittori Partners with Totum 3D and ShapeUp Studios for Titanium Additive Production
Vittori has forged a production partnership with Totum 3D and ShapeUp Studios to advance its titanium additive manufacturing capabilities. The collaboration focuses on designing, prototyping, and producing 3D-printed components for Vittori's ambitious three-phase roadmap, starting with hypercars before expanding to premium eVTOL and electric-jet programs.
The initiative encompasses design-for-additive reviews, rapid prototyping, and short-run pilot builds. Material testing includes titanium for strength-to-weight ratios, stainless and maraging steels for heavy loads, aluminum alloys for lightweight structures, nickel superalloys for high-temperature zones, copper alloys for cooling systems, and aerospace-grade polymers like PEEK and ULTEM for cabin-compliant parts.
"While others theorize about aerospace applications, we're putting titanium parts into production today," stated Carlos Cruz, Vittori's founder. The road-to-air development strategy aims to de-risk hardware validation while accelerating the transition to aerial mobility platforms.
